A first-degree murder defendant accepted a plea offer of 40 years in prison before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer on April 20.

Cadeem Green, 24, was originally charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of firearm use in the commission of a crime, armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection to an incident on the 5100 block of Williston Street on May 4, 2021.

Judge Schiffer listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of life suspending all but 40 years with three years on probation for first-degree murder.

Green was represented by defense attorney Euphus Belu-John.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Green and his co-defendant Daqwan Sawyer were charged for the death of 31-year-old Danny Henson after officers were dispatched for a report of an unresponsive person on Williston Street around 2:30 a.m. They discovered Henson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
