Detectives Seeking Information on Fatal Shooting near Harford Road Corridor

On April 16, at approximately 8:38 a.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the Harford Road corridor for discharging.

Upon arrival, officers located 31-year-old Dontre Mitchell in the rear of the 2900 block of Chesley Avenue suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and arm.

Mitchell was transported to an area hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, but was later pronounced deceased at Johns Hopkins Hospital at Bayview.

Northeast homicide detectives have now assumed control of the investigation.
