Judge Melissa M. Phinn set a trial date for a Baltimore City homicide defendant accused of his girlfriend’s death on June 7.

Defendant Forell Isaac, whose case has been taken over by defense attorney Todd Oppenheim, is charged with first-degree and second-degree murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend, 29-year-old Linique Green.

Isaac, 39, is set to stand trial before Judge Myshala E. Middleton on Sept. 6. The trial will last five days. The defendant was also scheduled to stand before Judge Yolanda A. Tanner for a motion hearing on Aug. 31.

According to a press release from the Office of the Attorney General, on Sept. 12, 2021, Baltimore City police officers discovered Green on the 1100 block of N. Milton Avenue suffering from multiple stab wounds. Green was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Detectives allege that the defendant tracked his victim down, chased her, and then proceeded to stab and cut her in the chest 10 times, causing her death.
