On Aug. 10, a 26-year-old defendant charged with murder in 2018 decided to go outside to the prison yard instead of attending his sentencing held on Zoom before Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland

Judge Copeland decided to postpone the hearing to Oct. 17 for defendant Shawn Little, represented by defense counsel Linda B. Zeit

In addition, the prosecutor provided additional documents for Judge Copeland to review for sentencing.

As stated on the Maryland Judiciary website, Little was found guilty of second-degree murder.

According to court documents, on May 8, 2018, police discovered four victims who were ambushed while sitting in a black Honda Accord on the 100 block of S. Broadway. The 17-year-old victim Ray Glasgow, who sustained three gunshot wounds to the torso, was pronounced deceased at John Hopkins Hospital. Glasgow’s 18-year-old friend was shot twice but survived. There were also two uninjured victims in the backseat of the car during the shooting. Police recovered eight .223 caliber shell casings at the scene.

Surveillance footage showed Little and his two co-defendants, Eric Jackson, 38, and Bradley Mitchell, 30, pulling up in a white Nissan Altima, walking toward the Accord and firing an assault rifle multiple times into the passenger seat.

Witnesses helped identify all three defendants through a photo array. Court documents state, Little told police when detained that Jackson drove the car and Mitchell fired the gun.
