On Jan. 20, Warrant Apprehension Task Force Detectives arrested 26-year-old Andre Bailey at a retail store in Harford County after obtaining a warrant for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of D’Asia Garrison on Jan. 1.

Investigators learned that Bailey was involved in a shooting that occurred following a dispute on the morning the incident occurred. Bailey, who resides in Baltimore, was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged with first-degree murder.

On Jan. 1, at approximately 3:29 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of North Glover Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire in the area.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed Garrison, 17, suffering from gunshot wounds and an injured 31-year-old male.

Garrison succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Homicide detectives assumed control over the investigation and were able to identify a suspect.
