Attempted Murder Defendant Takes 15 Year Plea Offer in Jamestown Court Shooting

A 21-year-old Baltimore man accused of shooting at his niece’s maternal aunt accepted a plea of 15 years in prison for attempted murder on Oct. 26.

The case against Jeremiah Davis was initially set to begin trial on Oct. 25, but continued on Thursday when the defendant agreed to a plea offer from the prosecution. The terms of the plea included 30 years, suspending all but 15 years, and five years of supervised probation for attempted second-degree murder and a concurrent five years without parole for firearm use in a felony or violent crime. He must also register as a gun offender.

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Kendra Y. Ausby, who presided over the hearing, said the plea will run consecutively to Davis’ current and pending sentences.

Davis was represented by defense attorney Todd Oppenheim.

According to court documents, Davis allegedly shot at the victim as she was leaving her house and walking to her vehicle on the 5400 block of Jamestown Court on April 27, 2021.
