Attempted Murder Defendant Has Pending Plea Offer

A 27-year-old Baltimore man charged with first-degree attempted murder had trial scheduled for September on June 8 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn

Shaquille Kittrell is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, conspiracy to first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, use of a firearm during a violent crime, conspiracy to commit use of a firearm during a violent crime, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, having a handgun on his person, conspiracy to wearing/carrying a handgun, and illegal possession of ammo in connection to shooting a man several times on Sept. 15, 2021. 

The prosecutor presented a plea of 25 years suspending all but 8 years with three years on supervised probation for first-degree assault and five years without parole for use of a firearm during a violent crime. The terms are set to run concurrently. 

Under the plea, the defendant must register as a gun offender. 

Kittrell’s defense attorney Michael Tomko informed the court that he has not met with his client, but their first meeting is scheduled for this upcoming Friday. 

Kittrell’s trial is scheduled for Sept. 6, It is expected to last three days.

The prosecution entered a nolle pros for Kittrell’s co-defendant, William Wilson, 28, on June 8.
