A 25-year-old Baltimore man accused of attempted murder accepted a plea of time served with 18 months supervised probation on Jan. 14 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer Schiffer

Deairus Spencer is charged with second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a violent crime, having a handgun on his person, discharging firearms, and reckless endangerment in connection to an incident on March 2, 2021. 

On Friday, Judge Schiffer listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of five years suspending all but time served with 18 months supervised probation for second-degree assault and three years suspending all but time served for having a handgun on his person. The charges are set to run concurrently. 

Spencer and his defense attorney, Robert Cole, accepted the plea.
