On June 11, at approximately 4:22 p.m., Eastern District detectives and officers apprehended 18-year-old Jamal Smothers of Baltimore.
Baltimore Police Department detectives believe that Smothers shot and killed 19-year-old Deontay Towns on June 11 on the 2600 block of Aisquith Street.
Detectives transported Smothers to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder and additional charges.
