On July 19, a 32-year-old homicide defendant rejected a plea deal in reception court before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.
Isaiah Eaddy, 32, is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, two counts of firearm possession with a felony conviction and two counts of having a handgun on his person in connection to a Jan. 26 murder. Eaddy was represented by Bradley MacFee.
The prosecution offered a plea deal to Eaddy of a life for first-degree murder and a concurrent 20 years in prison, the first five years without the possibility of parole, for firearm use in a felony violent crime.
The plea deal was slated to expire 45 days before Eaddy’s trial date.
According to a Baltimore Police Department press release, on Feb. 22, police arrested Eaddy for the murder of 20-year-old Kareem Gee on the 1200 block of East Preston Street.
The five-day trial is scheduled to start on Nov. 12 before Judge Robert K. Taylor Jr.
