A jury reached a guilty verdict for a 24-year-old man before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn S. Mays on June 20.

Datuan Blanchard, represented by Judit Otvos, was found guilty of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and firearm use in a felony violent crime in connection to a double homicide that occurred Aug. 12, 2022.

According to documents from the District Court of Maryland, Leion Davis Jr., 25, and William Ferebee, 26, were shot to death inside a parked vehicle on the 4000 block of Wabash Avenue. Witnesses on the scene notified authorities of a four-door red Acura TL fleeing the scene, which was reported stolen 30 minutes later. The vehicle, registered to the mother of Blanchard’s child, was in Blanchard’s possession at the time of the murder.
