On May 30, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the unit block of North Central Avenue for a single-vehicle accident. When officers arrived, they located the 24-year-old male driver lying outside of the vehicle on the street unresponsive. Medics transported the driver to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased at 9:48 p.m.

Preliminary information revealed that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed through a red light and struck a light pole, tree and fire hydrant before coming to a stop. The crash investigation team was notified and responded to the scene.
