On April 13, at approximately 1:39 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue.
Once there, they located a 7-year-old female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds upper body. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. She is currently in critical but stable condition.
Preliminary investigation revealed that two groups had an altercation inside the mall when an unidentified male suspect fired a shot as he was running away, striking the victim who was not the intended target.
