On March 18, at approximately 1:53 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to investigate a call for a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, officers observed one vehicle flipped over in the median of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and West Mulberry Street. The second vehicle, which contained a driver and passenger, was located on the 300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, suffering severe front-end damage; the driver of this vehicle was a 58-year-old male. Medics transported the 58-year-old male driver to an area hospital where, despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced deceased. The passenger of the 58-year-old male’s vehicle was transported alongside the driver of the other vehicle to an area hospital, where they both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
CRASH team investigators responded and assumed control over this investigation.
