78-Year-Old Man Shot on Booth Street

On March 9, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 78-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right leg. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was on the 2200 block of Booth Street when he was shot after hearing gunfire. The victim received a ride to the hospital.

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Southwest District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2488.
