On Tuesday, Feb. 6, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled a trial for a murder suspect on June 10.
Jewel Crowder, 40, is charged with counts of first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime and reckless endangerment.
According to a Baltimore Police Department press release, Crowder fatally shot 23-year-old Howard County Sheriff’s deputy, Ryan Alexander Demby. The incident occurred on the 1100 block of South Charles Street.
Crowder was taken into custody and charged on the day of the occurrence, Sept. 29, 2023.
He awaits a four-day trial in June. Crowder will be represented by defense attorney Roland Harris.
