On May 22, defense attorney Todd Oppenhiem appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn alone due to the Baltimore City Department of Corrections’ failure to prepare his client for his scheduled hearing.
Judge Phinn continued the hearing to June 7, so Jeremiah Davis could be in attendance.
Davis, 20, is charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, possession of a firearm as a minor, firearm use in a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, discharging firearms and reckless endangerment in connection to an incident that occurred on April 20. 2021.
According to court documents, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Jamestown Court for a call saying firearms were discharged, where the victim accused the defendant of shooting at her as she left her house, walking to her vehicle.
