On June 13, at approximately 7 a.m., members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force and Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 43-year-old Wesley Vanhook of Baltimore on the 2400 block of Oswego Avenue.
Detectives believe Vanhook shot a 55-year-old male on the 3700 block of Towanda Avenue on April 22.
Detectives transported Vanhook to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder and various handgun violations.
On the morning of the incident, at approximately 10:03 a.m., Northern District officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Shirley Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.
Once officers arrived, they located a 55-year-old male victim sitting in a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to face. The victim was transported to an area hospital by medic with non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot on the 3700 block of Towanda Avenue.
