Officers Report Homicide in Southeast District, Still Searching for Second Possible Victim

On June 3, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were patrolling the area of the 5900 block of Eastern Avenue when they heard discharging.

Officers located an unidentified male suffering from several life-threatening gunshot wounds on the 5900 block of Eastern Avenue. Medics transported the victim to John Hopkins Bayview Hospital Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced a short time later.

The BPD later identified the victim as 27-year-old Jeremy Maldonado.

Officers were notified that was possibly a second victim, but units were unable to locate the victim at this time.

Southeast homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
