Nyeki Glover confessed to an attempted murder on E. Baltimore Street that occurred on the evening of Sept. 17, 2021, a Baltimore City prosecutor told jurors at the start of the defendant’s trial on March 6.

Prior to the shooting, shortly before 7:00 p.m., video surveillance footage recovered by Baltimore Police showed the suspect searching for the victim outside Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club on the 400 block of E. Baltimore Street, the prosecutor said. The man was shot multiple times and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Court documents state during their investigation, police found six shell casings on the sidewalk and a black Ruger handgun under a parked vehicle outside the club. Glover, 28, was later identified as the shooter.

“The [prosecution] has laid out a story for you, and I’m asking you hold them to that story,” defense attorney Koryn High responded during her opening statement. “Looking at all of the evidence the [prosecution] presents, take it apart and closely examine it. Make the [prosecution] prove that Mr. Glover shot the victim.”

High reminded the jury that the victim was found with the gun.

Testimony began Monday and will continue this week before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Christopher Panos.
