A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge granted an extension for the evaluation of homicide defendant Timothy Callanan on March 15 in connection to a plea of not criminally responsible that was filed in December 2022.

This marks the second postponement for the 29-year-old defendant in two months.

According to Judge Gale Rasin, the health facility completing the outpatient NCR evaluation requested additional time. Neither the prosecution nor defense attorney Jessica Rubin—standing in for Tony Garcia—objected to the request.

Callanan, whose presence was waived for the purposes of Wednesday’s hearing, is scheduled to return to mental health court on April 19.

The defendant is accused of fatally stabbing 28-year-old Mason Moldoven on Aug. 29, 2020, and then leaving her body in a plastic container on the 1100 block of Gorsuch Avenue.
