Circuit Court Judge Schedules Attempted Murder Defendant Trial for July 2023

On Feb. 22, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn scheduled an attempted murder defendant’s trial for July. 

Daquan Allen, 24, is charged with two counts each of first and second-degree attempted murder, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of robbery, two counts each of first and second-degree assault, the use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, discharging firearms, possession of a firearm with a felony violent crime, and illegal possession of ammo in connection to an incident on April 24, 2022. 

According to court documents, on the day of the incident, officers were called to the 2500 block of Eutaw Place for reports of a shooting. On arrival, the victim told officers that she and her boyfriend were walking on Eutaw Place when an unknown man later identified as the defendant told the victim’s boyfriend to empty his pockets. 

While attempting to rob the victim’s the defendant allegedly pulled out a gun threatening to shoot them if they didn’t hand over their items. The suspect then shot at the two victims, missing them both.


Allen’s trial is scheduled for July 18 with Judge Dana Middleton presiding. It is expected to last three days.
