Officers Arrest 19-Year-Old and Charge with Attempted Murder

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) has arrested 19-year-old Derrien Gamble and charged him with the attempted murder of two people on Feb. 4.

On Feb. 14, Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARTF) arrested Gamble in the 2200 block of East Fayette Street without incident. Gamble was transported to the Northeast District where he was interviewed, and then transported to Central Booking.

Gamble was charged with attempted first-degree murder and remains at Central Booking.

On Feb. 4, at 11:01 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Medford Road in the Northeast District. The victims, a 60-year-old female and 17-year-old male, both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital where they were treated.

Northeast District detectives assumed control of the investigation and were able to identify a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant.
