Western District Officers Respond to Reports of Fatal ‘Cutting’ on Pennsylvania Avenue

On Jan. 18, 2023, at approximately 1:35 p.m., officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in response to reports of a cutting.

When officers arrived at the location, they discovered 31-year-old Dashawn Anderson with cuts to the chest. Anderson was transported to Shock Trauma and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Western District homicide detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.
