Shooting Victim Dies after Allegedly Throwing Brick at Security Guard

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) are asking for information regarding a homicide that occurred on Nov. 7.

On Monday, at approximately 1:26 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers were patrolling in the area of East Lombard Street when they heard discharging coming from the 4000 block of East Lombard Street.

Once they arrived, officers located 35-year-old Kevin Abel Torres Guerrero suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Preliminary investigation revealed a security guard spoke with officers and told them the victim threw a brick at him, causing him to discharge his weapon and strike the victim.
