The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide on the afternoon of Oct. 4.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 2700 block of Ellicott Driveway at 12:14 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive baby, where 1-year-old Nyemia Gillard was found but was pronounced dead by medics.
The victim’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy. On Oct. 18, doctors ruled the death to be a homicide caused by multiple signs of trauma.
Homicide detectives are investigating this incident.
