Police Charge Teen With Homicide in High School Shooting

On Sept. 2, officers with the Baltimore Police Department arrested a 17-year-old male, charging him with first-degree murder.

According to a press release, the teen was arrested after 17-year-old Jeremiah Brogden was pronounced dead after a shooting on the 3600 block of Tivoly Avenue on the grounds of Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School.

A handgun was recovered.

The 17-year-old suspect is currently being held at the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services facility.
