Defendant Found Guilty of First-Degree Murder

A jury found a murder defendant guilty July 19 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeannie J. Hong.

Anthony Priester, 30, was found guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, use of a firearm during a crime of violence, illegal possession of a restricted firearm, wear/carry/transport a handgun on person and in a vehicle, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in connection to the shooting of Cameron Greene in March of 2021. Another man was also injured in that incident.

The decision was handed down after a few hours of deliberation.

Priester was arrested in the same jacket and shoes seen on the video footage worn by the shooter. He was also said to have had the murder weapon and tossed it out the window of his car during a high-speed chase before his arrest.

Additionally, Priester was identified as the owner of the getaway car seen on video transporting the shooters.

He was found not guilty of first-degree attempted murder and no verdict was rendered on the second-degree murder charge.

Priester is scheduled for sentencing on Oct 14.
