A Baltimore man, who previously had his attempted murder conviction overturned, pleaded guilty to the charge, and was sentenced to time served before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Terrance Pevie, 40, was convicted of attempted murder in connection to the 2010 shooting of David Bond. Bond was outside with his grandchildren when Pevie, also known as “Peewee,” shot him in the leg.
Pevie’s conviction was reversed earlier this year and he was given the chance for a new trial, despite his initial sentence being set to end in 2023.
Given new circumstances, Pevie’s defense attorney, Roland Harris, agreed to a plea of a concurrent sentence of 25 years, suspending all but time served, with two years on supervised probation for first-degree assault; 20 years, suspending all but time served, for witness intimidation; and time served for carrying a firearm.
Under the plea, Pevie is required to register as a gun offender.
