During the first half of May, Baltimore Witness has recorded decisions on 24 plea agreements.

According to the data, four defendants accepted the prosecution’s agreements for murder charges and 10 defendants accepted agreements for non-fatal shooting charges. Ten homicide and non-fatal shooting defendants rejected the offers.

Two out of the 14 accepted plea agreements were for life sentences in homicide cases.

There were approximately 41 plea decisions made in April for non-fatal shooting and homicide cases. Of those cases, 19 defendants accepted plea agreements, 19 defendants rejected the decision and three decisions are unknown.
