Prosecution Dismisses All Charges for Triple-Shooting Defendant

A 26-year-old Baltimore man charged in a triple shooting had all charges dropped by the prosecution on Feb. 3 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.

Cody Boothe is charged with three counts of attempted first and second degree murder, three counts of first and second degree assault, use of a firearm during a violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, possession of firearms, having a handgun on his person, three counts of reckless endangerment and discharging firearms in connection to an incident on April 15, 2021.

During reception court on Thursday, Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor entered a nolle pros, dropping all charges.

Boothe was represented by defense attorney Brandon Mead.

According to Baltimore Fox 45 News, a triple shooting occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on the 3400 block of Leverton Avenue on April 15, 2021. Boothe was injured during an alleged exchange of gunfire between himself and two other unnamed individuals.

Mead argued that his client was a victim in the shooting, citing that he was shot in the back.

In addition, Boothe has three prior convictions, one in 2019 for handgun possession, and two firearm convictions in 2015.
