A 33-year-old Baltimore man accused of homicide rejected a plea offer on Nov. 16 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.
Darrius Lemar Jordan is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and use of a firearm in a violent crime in connection to an incident on Feb. 12.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecution presented a plea of life, suspending all but 50 years, with five years supervised probation for first-degree murder.
Jordan and his defense attorney, Roya Hanna, rejected the plea.
According to CBS Baltimore, on Feb. 12, at approximately 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots on the 1900 block of Edmondson Avenue in West Baltimore. On arrival, officers found 52-year-old Guy Thomas suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was later pronounced dead by medics.
Jordan’s trial is scheduled for March 21, 2022, with Judge Dana Middleton presiding.
