A man accused of a fatal stabbing rejected a plea offer and had a trial date set during reception court on Oct. 5 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Eric Nash, 37, is charged with first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure.
Nash allegedly admitted to the fatal stabbing of 39-year-old John Noel after officers arrived at the 200 block of South Ballou Court around 7 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2020. Noel was found in a bathtub suffering from stab wounds and was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The prosecution offered Nash, 37, life, suspending all but 60 years, and five years of supervised probation for first-degree murder. He rejected the offer as he and his defense attorney Robert Cohen needed more time to go over the discovery in the case.
A trial was scheduled for April 6, 2022.
