Antonio Williams, an alleged murderer, was denied home-monitored release during bail review at the Baltimore City Circuit Courthouse on Sept. 20.
Judge Cynthia Jones presided over the case.
The 36-year-old is being charged with attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. He allegedly fought with a 26-year-old victim and shot him, after punching him in the face on March 27 on the 4100 block of Amos Avenue.. The prosecutor said the altercation was caught on video.
Defense attorney, Shomari Taylor, said he has tried to obtain discovery, including the video, since July but the prosecution did not adequately comply with discovery rules. He said he has not received any evidence in the case.
Due to the lack of discovery, Taylor said he has not discussed a statement of probable cause with the defendant however, he asked for Williams to be released on private home monitoring.
Judge Jones concluded that since there has been no evidence turned in for this case, there is no condition that allows him to be released. Williams was denied release during this time.
