Jury Selection Delayed in Fatal Belair Road Shooting Case

Coine Larose, 28, was scheduled for jury selection on July 20, but the proceedings were postponed until July 21 due to a personal conflict involving defense attorney Michael Tomko

Larose is charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and discharging of firearms in connection to the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Keith Nicholson on Dec. 31, 2023.

According to charging documents, Larose and Nicholson allegedly got into a physical altercation before the shooting. Several minutes later, a white SUV was seen following Nicholson through the area, and gunshots were heard as he attempted to flee.

Charging documents allege the SUV then stopped in the 4300 block of Belair Road, where additional gunfire was heard and Nicholson was later found fatally shot.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin July 21 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Catherine Chen and is anticipated to last six days.
