December Trial Set for Defendant in Shooting, Death Threat Case

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled a Dec. 10 trial for defendant ​​Marcus Dupree Hill during a reception court hearing on Oct. 9.

In addition to first- and second-degree assault, Hill, 30, is also facing charges of reckless endangerment and four weapons violations, including discharging a firearm in the city. The defendant allegedly shot at his landlord on March 30 on the 2400 block of Wilkens Avenue during an argument over damaged property. 

While no one was injured in the shooting, the victim told police that Hill allegedly threatened to burn down his home and kill him and his wife.

The trial is set before Judge Jeannie J. Hong, with two days allotted for proceedings.
