Trial Date Set for Sex Worker Shooting Case

A trial date in the homicide case of Reginald Raysor was set for early 2026 on Oct. 9.

Raysor, 33, is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, firearm use in a felony violent crime, and firearm possession for allegedly discharging a gun on Sept. 14, 2024, at Bella Roma’s restaurant on the 1100 block of Springfield Avenue.

The counts stem from an altercation after which Raysor allegedly robbed a sex worker of $60 after sexual acts were performed on the 2400 block of Guilford Avenue. During the robbery, the victim attempted to flee, and Raysor allegedly fired multiple shots at her and another woman. The victim later identified Raysor in a photographic array, recalling his distinctive tattoos and describing him as someone she would “never forget.”

Baltimore City Circuit Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled the trial to begin on Jan. 12, 2026 before Judge Yolanda A. Tanner, with four days allotted for proceedings.
