Non-Fatal Shooting
|
On March 12, a non-fatal shooting defendant’s trial date was pushed back by nearly a month because the prosecutor contracted COVID-19.
Christopher Holland, 24, is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of attempted second degree murder, two counts of first degree assault, home invasion, two counts of firearm use in a felony violent crime, loaded handgun on his person, and discharging any gun/pistol/firearm for allegedly shooting at a 26-year-old man in July.
According to court documents, Holland broke into a home on the 1200 block of Sergeant Street when he shot the victim.
During the hearing, the prosecutor put on the record that a pending plea offer in the case was withdrawn.
Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland set the defendant’s new trial date for April 30 before Judge Lazette Ringold-Kirksey. The trial is expected to last three days with at least 6 to 7 witnesses.
