Southern District Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a Southern District homicide investigation.

On Jan. 19, at approximately 8:45 a.m., Southern District Officers responded to the 400 block of Washburn Avenue for a reported shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers located two victims, a 43-year-old male and a 35-year-old male, inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment, where the 43-year-old male was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
