On Dec. 3, the second day of a murder trial, two firearm analysts testified that the gun used in this case is linked to a 2019 assault.
Reginald Peay III, 30, is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction and carrying a loaded handgun on his person and in a vehicle.
Both experts confirmed they had tested the 9mm semi-automatic gun at issue in the homicide to make the comparison. The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) database revealed the gun’s connection to the 2019 assault case.
Peay’s trial is scheduled to run until Monday Dec. 9, with Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Alan C. Lazerow presiding.
