A 48-year-old Baltimore County resident received a Baltimore City Circuit Court trial date for his alleged involvement in a 2023 BB gun shooting Sept. 24.

Nadeem Tajdin, of Owings Mills, Md., is charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, firing a gun in Baltimore City, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of an unregistered rifle or shotgun and illegal possession of ammunition for a shooting on March 6, 2023.

Stand-in defense attorney Staci Pipkin reiterated Tajdin’s disinterest to the prosecution’s offer of 35 years, suspending all but 15 years, the first five years without the possibility of parole, five years of supervised probation and required gun offender registration.

Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled Tajdin’s two-day trial to begin on Dec. 10 before Judge Yvette M. Bryant

According to court documents, Tajdin allegedly shot a woman with a BB gun in front of a convenience store on the 3700 block of Edmondson Avenue. Baltimore Police Department investigators believe Tajdin was shown on surveillance video from the store aiming, shooting and reloading the gun.
