Another member of the criminal gang known as the “39 Babies” pleaded guilty to multiple charges on Dec. 12 in connection to criminal acts dating back nearly three years ago.
Ramell Wilson appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeannie Hong Monday morning to accept the prosecution’s plea of 25 years, suspending all but ten years, with three years of supervised, for first-degree assault; a concurrent 15 years, suspending all but ten years, for participation in a criminal gang; and a concurrent five years for being a minor in possession of a firearm.
The 22-year-old defendant was initially facing 33 charges, including attempted first and second-degree murder, conspiracy to manslaughter, and several firearms charges, and was represented by defense attorney Andrea Jaskulsky.
The gang, also known as “Green Team,” primarily handled cocaine, according to a release from the attorney general’s office.
“The organization utilized threats and violence to control their territory and to punish adversaries,” the release states.
