During a Nov. 7 Baltimore reception court hearing, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn set a trial date for alleged gang members accused of murder, among other crimes.

Karon Johnson, 21, Gregory Beadles, 21, and Pierre Briggs, 20, are charged with more than 70 counts of murder, attempted murder, reckless endangerment, participation in a criminal gang, conspiracy to participate in a criminal gang, association with a criminal gang, armed carjacking, and several firearms-related offenses for their conduct on Dec. 21, 2019.

The three of these men are affiliated with a criminal gang known as “Green Team” or “39 Babies.”

Although Johnson, Beadles, and Briggs are being charged together, they are not the only ones who committed the acts mentioned above.

Their other co-defendants include:

  • Donye Thompson
  • Damone Cornish
  • Raequan Fields
  • Stephen Harrington
  • Datwain Jackson
  • J’Quan Powell
  • Ramell Wilson
  • Jalen Wise

According to Fox 45 News, the Attorney General recovered ballistic evidence from the crime scene linking the group to four murders and eight attempted murders.

At Monday’s court proceeding, Judge Phinn set a June 12 trial date. Parties estimate that the trial will end July 14, 2023.

Judge Phinn will be actively searching for another judge to preside over this matter.
