The Baltimore Police Department made an arrest for the June 21, 2021 shooting of 32-year-old Dwayne Edmonds that happened at a store on the 2500 block of Orleans Street at approximately 3:06 p.m.
Edmonds was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
During their eight month investigation, homicide detectives identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
The shooter was identified as 19-Year-Old James Smith, who was arrested in Atlanta, Ga. on Feb. 3 and transported back to Baltimore.
Smith has been charged with the first degree murder of Dwayne Edmonds and is currently being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility after being denied bail.
