An 18-year-old man was arrested by Baltimore Police Department officers for shooting a family member after a dispute on Thanksgiving Day.
Baltimore resident Andrew Abiola is charged with conspiracy to first-degree murder, first and second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, and reckless endangerment, according to the Maryland Judiciary website.
Police previously reported that officers were called to the 1200 block of Glenwood Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. on Nov. 25 for a reported shooting. Officers found an 18-year-old man inside a home with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
Medics took the victim to a hospital for treatment.
Detectives later learned that the shooting was a result of a dispute between Abiola and the victim, who police said were family members.
Abiola is currently being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility. The Maryland Judiciary website states he is expected to appear in Baltimore City District Court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 25, 2022.
