A 25-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of a 38-year-old man on Aug. 20. 

The Baltimore Police Department has reported the arrest of Kamar Damonte Williams, 25, exactly six days after the incident on the 500 block of Bentalou Street, where Delaney Simmons, 38, was found lying in an alleyway adjacent to the 2300 block of Ashton Street, suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries.

Following his arrest, Williams was charged with first-degree murder and is currently being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility.
