Woman Dies Following Shooting on Brookfield Avenue

Officers for the Central District of the Baltimore Police Department are investigating a homicide that happened on Nov. 3.

On Thursday, at approximately 4:38 a.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to West 28th Street at Sisson Street for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located 38-year-old Delaka Augins suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was taken to an area hospital where she later died.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 2500 block of Brookfield Avenue when she was shot by an unidentified suspect. The victim was then driven to West 28th Street at Sisson Street, where police were called.
