Western District Officers Open Investigation into North Carey Street Non-Fatal Shooting

On May 20, at approximately 9:21 p.m., Western District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1100 block of North Carey Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located a 45-year-old male on the 1200 block of North Carey Street, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his left leg. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injury.

Western District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
