Western District Officers Make Arrest in November 2021 Murder Investigation

In reference to the murder that occurred on Nov. 24, 2021, on the 1000 block of Appleton Street, Western District officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) arrested 27-year-old Kemonta Johnson (no relation to the victim) of Baltimore.

Investigators believe that Kemonta Johnson shot 30-year-old Dontae Johnson.

Western District officers arrested Kemonta Johnson on the 1600 block of West North Avenue on March 11.

Detectives transported Kemonta Johnson to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with first-degree murder.

Homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation. Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2100.
