Western District Detectives Seek Answers in Non-Fatal Shooting Reported on Etting Street

On March 21, at approximately 3:58 a.m., Western District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 2400 block of Etting Street for a ShotSpotter alert.

Once at the location, officers were able to locate a crime scene in that block. Moments later, officers were then advised of a shooting victim in the 2000 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway.

Upon officers arrival, they located a 37-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 2400 block of Etting Street by an unidentified male. The victim then drove to the 2000 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway to notify police.
